Reporter or Tourist?
When Tom Hanks’ character travels to Washington D.C. to receive the Medal of Honor, a scene with a reporter had to be filmed. Surprisingly, the reporter who did the role was neither a true reporter nor was he an actor. He was just a tourist visiting D.C. with his wife that time. Apparently, he was handed the script and just asked to read the lines which he obviously did very convincingly.
