Remember young Forrest dancing to the tunes of Elvis in the movie who later on adapted the young boy’s jerky hip movements and incorporated it into his stage acts? Of course, it wasn’t the real singer (who had passed away years back due to repeated prescription drug abuse, in spite of repeated rehab trips). Well, the voice for Elvis Presley was actually provided by actor Kurt Russell who sadly never got credited for this. A pity since the movie was very successful and Russell deserved credit.
