Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant
In the movie, Forrest, in fulfilling his promise to Bubba, enters the shrimp business and becomes financially sound. He even gives away half his earnings to Bubba’s family who had fallen on hard times, needing assistance with basic things such as a change of roofing, and property maintenance. After the movie’s success, a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant opened around 1996 and since then has expanded into a chain business all over the U.S.
