Another funny little thing that can be noticed in the movie is that in all of the photos in which Forrest appears, his eyes are always closed. Every single photo shows Hanks’s character – from his boyhood through his college and his time in the army – with both his eyes closed. We’re unsure if this was a funny coincidence or deliberate on Hanks’ part in playing the character.
