The Gump House
The iconic house where the movie was shot is actually no longer standing. It was actually demolished right after the movie finished filming. No one knows the reason and many die-hard fans have even searched for the home in the location. Some say that the house was demolished because it was under disrepair – broken windows and floorboards, damaged mattresses, clogged bathrooms, and more. Although there have been speculations that the same house was repaired and used to shoot The Patriot in 2000.We guess the filmmakers of Forrest Gump never made any insurance to keep the house intact and just left it to rot.
