While folks may know of Christine Kühne since she doesn’t make many public appearances, people worldwide associated with the shipping industry might know of her husband, Klaus-Michael Kühne. He is the chairman and the third-generation owner of the Swiss logistics company Kuehne + Nagel. Klaus-Michael also has stakes in the airline Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
Christine sits on the Board of Trustees of the Kühne Foundation and supports and assists Klaus-Michael with all his work. Besides that, she is the primary sponsor of the award for the best young author at the Harbour Front Literature Festival in Hamburg. She reportedly also supports young singers.
