Nicole Johnson — Michael Phelps
Everyone knows who Michael Phelps is — a legendary Olympian swimmer who boasts of 28 gold medals in his name — but only a handful would be able to recognize Nicole Johnson, his better half, who has been the greatest motivating factor in all his accomplishments. A former Miss California USA winner, Nicole Johnson crossed paths with Phelps couple at the ESPY Awards in 2007. Their relationship had its own dark phases, but after overcoming every hurdle, the duo secretly tied the knot in 2016. Now in retirement, Michael can fully focus on being a dad to his sons, Boomer and Beckett, with the lovely Nicole by his side.
