Mel Gibson & Robyn Moore – Settlement: Reported $425 Million

Irreconcilable differences between Gibson and Moore led to their separation and eventually, their divorce in 2009. As per reports, Hollywood filmmaker and actor Gibson was spotted with Oksana Grigorieva, a popular singer and songwriter, a month before the divorce. The Hollywood actor was said to even have a child with Grigorieva. According to the prenuptial agreement between Mel and Robyn, the former had to shell out half of everything he had earned, and as per several reports, the settlement amount was calculated at approximately $425 million. Thankfully, his immense net worth prevented him from facing bankruptcy.

Michael Douglas & Diandra Luker – Settlement: Reported $45 million

The Hollywood actor has been a renowned figure in the entertainment industry and has laid his hands on a number of accolades and awards such as a Primetime Emmy, more than four Golden Globe awards, at least one Academy Award, the AFI Life Achievement, and the highly-esteemed Cecil B. DeMille Award. He got married to Diandra Luker in 1977, only to split in 2000. Douglas shelled out $45 million from his bank account to award the settlement amount to Diandra. He is now well settled in life with his second wife, the lovely Catherine Zeta-Jones, and he seems so much happier.

Kevin Costner & Cindy Silva – Settlement: Reported $80 Million

American actor Kevin Costner and theater actress Cindy Silva chanced upon each other at the prestigious California State University in 1975 and the duo eventually walked down the aisle after dating each other for two and a half years. However, their marital bliss was not long-lived as Kostner and Silva appointed a divorce attorney after staying together for 16 years. The couple had some trust issues between them, as reports reveal, and thankfully, issues concerning their kids were settled quite amicably. As far as we know, the settlement amount was something around $80 million.
