She is one of the few people who has mastered the art of a healthy work-life balance. Rachel Maddow often likes to spend her vacations at her Massachusets home. However, the bathroom in this property poses a vertical challenge for Rachel and her longtime partner, Susan Mikula. Getting there requires scaling the steps of a steep stair.

She and her partner, artist Susan Mikula, wanted to maintain their home ala a sanctuary and not disrupt the old house’s footprint. There is also an outhouse, a woods-enshrouded, pitched-roof bathhouse, a bed, a hot tub built into the floor. Besides that, it also has an entertainment center, which also has a TV. Although she stays in NYC most of the time for her work, Perino loves to spend time at Palmetto Bluff. The South Carolina estate is a beautiful sight complete with blue water, marsh grasses, Spanish mosses, and live oaks, just the sort of away-from-city-life abode you would need.

It’s here that Dana whiles away her time with the man of her life, her husband, English-born businessman Peter McMahon. A few days here, and she is back at her work rejuvenated and raring to go!
