Max Baer Jr. – Born 1937

Maximilian Adalbert Baer Jr. is an American actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. He is best known for playing Jethro Bodine, the dimwitted nephew of Jed Clampett (played by Buddy Ebsen) on The Beverly Hillbillies. After the death of Donna Douglas in January 2015, Baer became the last surviving member of that show’s main cast. Baer Jr remained close friends with Buddy Ebsen until Ebsen’s death from pneumonia in 2003. Just before his acting mentor’s death, he and Donna Douglas both had visited Ebsen in the hospital. With the 2015 death of co-star Donna Douglas, 80-year-old Baer is now the only surviving cast member.

Joan Copeland — 1922

Being Arthur Miller’s sister, Joan Copeland was no stranger to the world of entertainment. But it was her own acting prowess that got her even bigger fame as she launched her career in Broadway. She also enjoyed quite a successful stint on television. Her career came to an end in 2011 when she announced her retirement. Looking at her brilliant career, it’s safe to assume that she can pay for the best health insurance around and will never have to bother about a reverse mortgage.

 Jacqueline White — 1922

Jacqueline never had a much-prolonged career, but the impact she had on her fans was immense. Being a UCLA student, her performance in Ah, Wilderness! led to her screen test and later on, her first appearance on the big screen with Song of Russia in 1944. Her portrayals in movies like The Narrow Margin and Crossfire are well-remembered until today. Her talent and beauty were mesmerizing, and she started ruling people’s hearts in no time. Though Jacqueline had all the traits of a superstar, she took up retirement when she was still in her hayday, and the 95-year-old now just eases up at her retirement home.

Johnny Crawford – 1946


Some people remember Johnny Crawford as one of the original “Mouseketeers” from Disney, but most remember him as Mark McCain, the son of Lucas McCain in the iconic western series, The Rifleman. At the age of only 13, Crawford had been nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor – which is quite impressive in and of itself. Sadly, Crawford is one of the only remaining cast members still alive from the show, but luckily for us, at the age of 72, he has no set plans to retire any time soon.
