Needless to say, Reginald VelJohnson played the role of Carl Winslow who worked as an honest policeman and is very proud of the work he does. However, there is a downside to it. His authoritarian attitude doesn’t work too well with the rest of his family members. Hence, he is often in a conflict either with his wife or children; even his neighbors can’t bear his attitude. Reginald VelJohnson truly brought the character to life, and his image as a policeman stuck around for pretty long as he went on to play the cop for several other shows and films — Die Hard, Ghostbusters, and Crocodile Dundee are some of them. He has also acted in other sitcoms and is very much active even now. Last year, he did a voice over for a Disney animated movie. Looks like his earnings are enough for him to keep some investment money aside for future use. After all, he will have to take retirement someday and can’t depend entirely on banking then.
