Telma Hopkins played the role of Rachel Baines Crawford who got widowed at a young age and moved in with the Winslows. Despite a difficult life, Rachel had a lot of talent as she was banking on her own means and even ended up opening a hamburger joint in the show. In real life, it was Telma’s beautiful voice that brought her a lot of fame and recognition even before Family Matters happened. She is still part of a few comedy shows and also works with teenagers and young children as mentor banking on her own experiences. Thankfully, she has an impressive bank account and can afford to do charitable works.
