Ellen DeGeneres, im Jahr 1982 in Amerika zur “lustigsten Person” gekrönt, ebnete ihren Weg vom Comedy-Club zur ikonischen TV-Moderatorin. Mit ihrer unwiderstehlichen Art, die Menschen zum Lachen zu bringen, hat sie 1986 die Johnny-Carson-Show erobert und schließlich auch das Publikum ihrer Sitcom “Ellen”.
Ihr Coming-out brachte zwar unruhige Zeiten mit sich, doch heute strahlt Ellen mehr denn je. Seit 2003 führte sie durch ihre eigene Show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”. Seit 2008 teilt sie ihr Leben mit der Schauspielerin Portia de Rossi. Witzig, mutig und liebevoll, das ist Ellen: nicht nur die lustigste Person in Amerika, sondern auch die glücklichste, was ihr Privatleben angeht. Kein Wunder, dass die Comedy-Königin so viel „Ellen-Thusiasmus“ hat.
