Les ours sont une espèce captivante à bien des égards. Bien qu’ils soient parmi les prédateurs les plus redoutés du règne animal, ils peuvent parfois afficher une attitude étonnamment nonchalante envers leur environnement. Cet ours noir, par exemple, paraît plus amical que menaçant en adoptant une posture aussi singulière.
On dirait qu’il s’adonne à une séance d’étirement à l’aube avant de partir à la recherche de sa nourriture dans les profondeurs de la forêt. En réalité, les ours noirs ne chassent pas de grandes proies telles que les cerfs ou les élans, préférant généralement se nourrir de fruits, de graines, de poisson et de petits animaux tels que les souris.
