Tim Burton – Est. £11 Million, London
Tom Conti, has recently sold his classy, Edwardian house to director Tim Burton. The original price at which the house was listed happened to be £17.5 million.
The 5-bedroom house in the suburb of Hampstead matched its price and was said to be exclusive. However, according to Conti, he had struggled to sell off the house at its actual price. Hence he had to give a huge discount and finally got a buyer in Burton. Guess how much profit Coni made out of the sale?£10 million! Well, he shouldn’t be complaining at all in that case. The beautiful house is said to be inspired by Lewis Caroll’s poem Jabberwocky.
It was designed in 1903 by another Mathematician William Garnett! Burton being another fan of Caroll, must have found this fact fascinating. Interestingly it is Burton who directed, Alice In Wonderland, and Through The Looking Glass. Hence, it must be a meaningful investment by the ace director.
