After six decades in the world of entertainment, Gene Hackman has kicked off his boots and put up his feet in retirement. He retired in 2017, with several credits to his name in his acting portfolio.
His work in I Never Sang For My Father, The Royal Tenenbaums, The French Connection, and Mississippi Burning earn him great accolades. He’s a man who has received many awards, including BAFTAs, Golden Globes and Oscars.
Hackman is the owner of a 12-acre estate in Santa Fe that rests on a hilltop overlooking the Colorado mountains and the surrounding area, offering breathtaking 360-degree views. It was a block building from the 50s and nothing more, but when Hackman got a hold of it, he had the entire home remodeled. It is now an architectural art piece, with plenty of character and an inviting and warm atmosphere.
