In 2017, she made her German-language debut in Fatih Akin’s In the Fade, for which she won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress and Satellite Award for Best Actress.

Kruger’s partner is Norman Reedus, an exceptional actor, apart from being a voice actor, television host, and model. Reedus is popular for his role in the AMC horror drama series The Walking Dead. The couple went public with their relationship in 2017 and welcomed their daughter a year later.
