The last pure gold medals that were awarded in the Olympics were back in the 1912 games. Today, the gold medals awarded in the Olympic games are just made from 0.925-grade silver and just plated with 6 grams of gold. On the other hand, the silver medals are made of solid 0.925 silver, while the bronze medals are mostly copper.
