These are coins made from low-quality metals like aluminum, such as was used in their construction. While the value of some coins appears only to increase, the value of other currencies can decrease. If the government decides to cease producing these coins, their value will drop even lower and become more difficult to find.

Therefore, there is no clear solution to the problem. Or did Ander merely have a pile of useless coins in his possession despite the appearance of sitting on a goldmine?

Given the age of his collection, there wasn’t much of a chance that he still had any rare or valuable coins in his possession. But, on the other hand, if he had a lot of pennies, perhaps his options would be better.
