Sergio Mayer fue el exesposo de Bárbara Mori. Aunque se divorciaron hace mucho, Sergio ya no ha tenido problemas con abogados de divorcio desde entonces. El actor está activo desde 1993 y ha actuado en muchas telenovelas, algunas fueron Fuego en la sangre, La madrastra, Un gancho al corazón, entre otras. Sergio decidió incursionar en la política de México y actualmente es un diputado en el Congreso de la Unión de México, lleva en el cargo desde el 1 de septiembre del 2018.
