The Australian boxer was always inclined towards rugby and wanted to take up a career in the sport. However, due to the dearth of professional offers, Anthony Mundine decided to change his career path and took up boxing. He gave 21 years of his life to boxing.

Before he moved to the box, he was the highest-paid player in the NRL or the National Rugby League. During his career as a boxer, he laid his hands on the WBA super-middleweight title two times in a gap of five years. Aside from that, he also won the IBO middleweight title between 2009 and 2010. Being the son of Tony Mundine, one of Australia’s most successful indigenous fighters.

As per his own words, Mundine is the best all-around athlete hailing from Australia. The media has described him as the most polarizing athlete in the country’s sports history. On the financial front, Mundine has an approximate $30 million.
