Nicknamed The Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya completed it between 1992 and 2008. As a professional boxer, he has won more than 10 world titles in over five different weight classes. Critics rate him as the 29th best boxer in the history of the sport.

He was named Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine in 1995. After attaining success through a career that encompassed 16 years, De La Hoya retired from professional boxing in 2009. Also called The Golden Boy of boxing, he represented the United States at the Summer Olympics in 1992 and won a gold medal for his country in the lightweight division.

Aside from boxing promotions, he also started promoting MMA matches in 2018. The sporting world was shocked when De La Hoya announced his retirement. His net worth has been calculated to be something around $200 million.
