NBA Players’ Normal Jobs – Former NBA Players Who Surprised Everyone With Their Choice of Jobs After Retirement

Wilt Chamberlain – Everything

Wilt Chamberlain hung up his boots in NBA in 1973. Many people regarded him as one of the best players ever to enter the league at the time. After his retirement, he began looking for a new profession. He played for the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Chamberlain had played for the Kansas Jayhawks and the Harlem Globetrotters before joining the NBA.

He tried his hand at many things, but nothing that would go the extra mile and sustain him for long. However, finally, he could settle in the role of a pitchman. This is what turned out to be his calling. The basketball legend however capitulated to heart failure in 1999. He may no longer be amongst us, but his NBA legacy still endures.

We hope the last few years of his life proved to be peaceful and made him content. All we can say is rest in peace, legend.
