Sin embargo, Jonathan Brandis no tuvo estos problemas, él comenzó su carrera como modelo y eventualmente fue pasando a comerciales y a series y películas. Su carrera estuvo muy activa en toda década de los 90, tuvo mucho éxito, pero su carrera comenzó a perder su brillo cuando llegó el nuevo milenio. Triste porque su carrera estaba declinando, el actor optó por tomarse la vida en el 2003.
