Lyndon Johnson – $91.6K, Amphicar
Thirty-sixth US President Lyndon Johnson spent quite a good amount from his bank account to get hold of this car – an Amphicar – a blend of a car and a boat, which was suitable for land as well as water.
As per the records, the cool car came into existence in West Germany and as far as we know, only 3,878 were built during the ’60s. He’d play pranks on the visitors by driving his car down the hill into the lake, yelling as if his brakes had failed.
Among its special features, the Amphicar boasted of front-wheel steering that could run both on water and land. It was quite the marvelous car back then and we can’t deny the fact that it truly was a cool car!
