Politicians Still Together: Love in the World of Politics: Famous Politicians and Their Better Halves
Amy Klobuchar and John Bessler – Together Since 1993
The lawyer and politician are currently representing the state of Minnesota in the U.S. Senate. She has been a regular since 2007. Amy is a member of the DFL or the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Though she filed her candidacy as a Democratic nominee for the United States presidential election in 2020, she later pulled out and endorsed the current president-elect, Joe Biden.
Her successful political career led her to earn the title of a rising star in 2009 and 2010. Amy exchanged wedding vows with John Bessler in 1993. He is a professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law and an attorney.
He was affected with novel coronavirus in March 2020, and we hope he is doing fine now. Amy has been extremely caring and has certainly helped her husband fight through the tough times. We wish well for the family.
