Kirsten Gillibrand has become an increasingly recognizable face on the political horizon in recent years. She is an American lawyer and politician also a member of the Democratic Party. She has also served as the junior United States Senator from New York since 2009 and represented the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009.

However, her husband Jonathan has largely shied away from the spotlight. Jonathan is a venture capitalist by trade.
He has dabbled in several venture capital firms over the years, including Redbrick Partners, and started his own Venture Capital Partners.

Gillibrand met her husband, on a blind date. In the United States, Jonathan was for only a year to pursue a Master of Business Administration at Columbia University. Still, eventually, he never left the country because of their blossoming romantic liaison. The couple finally walked down the aisle in a Catholic church in Manhattan in 2001 and eventually settled in Brunswick with their two sons.
