Donald Rumsfeld, the former secretary of defense for presidents George W. Bush and Gerald Ford, has retired and spends most of his summers on a gentleman’s ranch by the Big Hole River in southwest Montana. His four and a decade career as a public servant witnessed some of the most turbulent times USA’s recent history.

Don and his wife Joyce, have been high school sweethearts and had their roots in Montana. Joyce is a Billings native, and the couple finally settled in Chicago, where the couple first met. After an illustrious political career, the couple is now enjoying their retired life in Montana.

The duo is currently enjoying the Montana summers, spending quality time on the ranch with their children and six grandchildren, and even one great-grandchild. We hope the duo continue to lead a happy life in the years to come.
