Wikipedia’s logo is certainly an interesting one as it is of an unfinished jigsaw puzzle shaped like a globe with characters coming from several languages on the pieces, the strange thing to note is that it has some errors of it. Though Wikipedia knows about the errors, it has chosen to keep it as it is, after all, it’s fitting that the logo for the open-source online encyclopedia may sometimes be erroneous.
Wikipedia’s first true logo was an image submitted by Bjørn Smestad for a Nupedia logo competition and it was as recent as 2000.
Jimmy Wales (Jimbo) was regarded as a much better logo than the flag; it stayed like that for eight months, until the end of 2001 and then went through a change yet again.
