The OA, produced and created by Zal Batmanglij and Brit Marling, premiered on Netflix in December 2016 and became a cult favorite within a few days. Two years on, fans of the show are still looking for the season two release date. The VP of content acquisition for Netflix, Cindy Holland, has already indicated that the early footage of the second season of the series has already reached them and has officially confirmed that the series has a five-season arc. The production for the follow-up season has already been wrapped up, and we can expect the sci-fi series to be back on Netflix in 2019. Brit Marling, who portrays the protagonist of the series, Prairie Johnson, has no plans for retirement as of now, and we believe she worked on her fitness levels with the help of a professional trainer before the filming of the second season.
