A Special Gift for Caroline
Caroline had strong reasons to doubt whether Steven had any intention to come back home. Anyone would feel the same way as Caroline. Nor was Steven looking for another job, nor was he able to come back home within the stipulated period.
So, this time Steven wanted to pacify his wife, and the best way he could do that was to send Caroline a special gift that would be a token of love for his wife.
