Die Reimanns sind vielen als Deutschlands Kultauswanderer bekannt, die sich vor Jahren ein Leben in den USA aufgebaut haben. Nachdem sie ihre Ranch in Texas, das berühmte „Konny Island“, verkauft haben, leben sie jetzt entspannt auf Hawaii.
Doch auch dort gibt es Herausforderungen: Ihr geliebter roter Cadillac begann in der salzigen Meeresluft langsam zu rosten. Sie entschieden kurzerhand, das nostalgische Fahrzeug nach Hamburg zu verschiffen, um es vor weiteren Schäden zu bewahren. Dieses Auto hat für die Familie einen hohen emotionalen Wert – immerhin wurde Tochter Janina in dem Wagen zu ihrer Hochzeit gefahren. Heute fahren die Reimanns zusätzlich ein Elektroauto.
