Leonard Nimoy — Smoking-Related Illness

Leonard Nimoy was a popular actor, photographer, film director, author, songwriter, and singer who immortalized the character of Spock of the famous Star Trek franchise, a role which he played in television and the big screen starting from late 1964 to 2013. Nimoy had been diagnosed with a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, owing to his addiction to smoking, a habit which he imbibed years before he met his last. Although he was treated by a doctor and his medical assistant, Leonard breathed his last on February 27, 2015 due to all the complications that arose from his disease. He had to take the help of a divorce attorney in his marriage to Sandra Zober.
