Sunny Johnson — Burst Blood Vessel in Brain
Sunny Sue Johnson was a noted American actress who rose to prominence with her role of Jeanie, the skater in Flashdance. Having debuted with TV series, Baretta, Sunny went on to portray various roles in films, and the list includes Dr. Heckyl and Mr. Hype and The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia. She was discovered unconscious at her residence on the night of June 18, 1984 and was taken to the UCLA Medical Center, only to be announced clinically dead, owing to a ruptured blood vessel in her brain. With the surgeon and the medical assistant’s consent, her family took Susan off the respirator.
