Dionne Warwick — December 12, 1940
The famous American rock singer Dionne Warwick was and continues to be one of the best musicians around. Her illustrious career places her second only to the great Aretha Franklin. As an artist, 56 of her singles made it to Billboard’s Hot 100, and that is an achievement in itself. Initially, she was part of the Drinkard Singers, a gospel singing group that consisted of several of her family members. Soon, she found her career as a solo artist and success eventually kissed her feet. However, her finances were not managed properly and she had to hire a bankruptcy attorney to sort things out for her. Hopefully, she was able to stand on her own two feet again after that debacle.
