Diahann Carroll is an extremely talented actress from the sixties who was the first black woman to win the Tony Award. She acted in movies like Porgy And Bess, Carmen Jones, and Claudine, among others. She also played the role of Julia on TV, which was the first American sitcom that didn’t depict and attach any Black stereotypes to her character. While she achieved such commendable projects in her career, her personal life wasn’t all too hunky-dory. Diahann was married four times, and none of her husbands stuck long enough to be her happily-ever-after. She is a cancer survivor and managed to avoid surgery due to early detection. Not only is she active these days but looking beautiful, too!
