Iconic Celebrities From The Golden Age That Are Still Alive – For Them Age Really Is Just A Number

Arlene Dahl – 1925

Arlene Carol Dahl is a noted American actress, who established herself with her portrayals in Bengal Rifles, Woman’s World, Wicked as They Come, Fortune Is a Woman, Slightly Scarlet, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Post a successful Hollywood career, Dahl launched her own business that dealt in beauty products and ladies’ lingerie. Not tasting much success as an entrepreneur, she joined an advertising agency. Apart from that, Arlene chose to be a columnist and accumulated a hefty fortune by selling her beauty products. She is 93 now, and you just can’t miss out on that luster that her skin emanates, and it wouldn’t be wrong to attribute that to her fitness regime and her anti-aging techniques.

Caren Marsh-Doll – 1919

Caren Marsh-Doll was the stand-in for Judy Garland in the 1939 classic The Wizard Of Oz. Along with Jerry Maren (who was a Munchkin in the film and part of the lollipop guild), they are the last two surviving cast of the the 1939 classic as of 2018. She started her career when movies were still silent. Hence, she is one of the last surviving actresses from the silent fims era. Slowly, she shifted her focus to dance which became her new-found love. In 1949, she was in a plane crash but survived it with 12 other people. Thankfully, she healed fast and was back in good health. Even now, she volunteers as a dance instructor once a month. She might have taken retirement, but she is never tired of dancing!
