Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti Sr. – Together Since 1966
Those who follow the show business from close angles would easily recognize Sophia Loren. One of the most well-acclaimed and accomplished performers of the film industry, Sophia made her presence known during Hollywood’s Golden Age and holds her own place in her fans’ hearts. Her scintillating performances in her films have earned a host of awards including a BAFTA, a Grammy, and five Golden Globes and ensured she would never need a refinance.
The Italian actress was just around 16 when she chanced upon the dashing and suave Carlo Ponti Sr. They fell madly in love with each other and decided to take their relationship to the next level. The couple tied the knot in 1957. However, since Carlo was not officially divorced from his first wife at that point, their marriage was eventually annulled. But, Loren and Ponti Sr. remarried after the divorce proceedings were conducted.
