Though his career took off as a comedian, Mel Brooks found success in his directorial ventures. Twelve Chairs, The Silent Movie, High Anxiety – these are some of his best works. He has been lucky enough to win all the four most important awards in the industry – Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony. Few know that his real name is Melvin Kaminsky. He is a proud grandfather now who refuses to retire. He was married to actress Anne Bankcroft until her death.
