Jared Polis and Marlon Reis – Unknown

History was made when the first openly gay man elected governor in Colorado American history and was sworn in with his partner at his side. It was a milestone achieved for people who saw themselves represented on the exalted pedestal.

Jared is a politician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, while his partner, Mr. Reis, an animal rights activist, and writer who has an abiding love of animals and Halloween. The duo met in Boulder in 2002 when Mr. Reis was finishing college. He taught Jared about Romantic literature while Jared taught him about baseball.

Mr. Reis plans to make animal welfare one of his key causes as First Gentleman of Colorado and proceeds from the inaugural ball will go to the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg. The duo shares two children, and they live a happy life in Boulder. We wish the duo loads of luck in whatever they attempt to do in the future.
