Chanel

Chanel’s logo is certainly one of the most successful stories in the history of fashion branding. Women, of all ages long to own a Chanel, and men want to impress the women in their lives with gifts from the company. If you think that the two C’s come from the pet name of Gabrielle Coco Chanel you cannot be further from the truth.

Chanel actually designed the interlocking Cs in 1925 paying a monastery to Aubazine, France, where she had some beautiful childhood memories. There is another romantic angle to the story, many say the logo is inspired by romance with English aristocrat Arthur Boy Chapel.

Today you can find the logo on all of Chanel’s products, right from their earrings to clothing.
