Ted Koppel grabbed the limelight as the host for the late-night news program on ABC, Nightline, from 1980 to 2005. Prior to that, Ted was a broadcast journalist as well as a news anchor for the American Broadcasting Company over a period of twenty long years. Throughout his career, Koppel has earned a number of awards such as winning the Emmy a whopping twenty-five times and the Overseas Press Club Awards nine times. He is 79 now and has an impressive career to look back on. A few years back, Ted listed his Maryland nest for sale. The 110-acre property was in the market for almost $4 million. The estate is popular as Cross Manor and is located near the Saint Inigoes Creek in St. Mary’s County.
