The Universal Language of Regret
In a world where getting ink in foreign scripts is the norm, one brave soul took a different path. Inked on his shoulder is “Regret (in Chinese),” spelled out plainly in English. With Chinese known for its beautiful characters and over a billion speakers worldwide, it’s no wonder the language is a tattoo favorite. Yet, this tattoo plays on expectations, proving you don’t need characters to characterize a regret; sometimes, English does the trick just fine.
