The word selfie appeared for the first time in an Australian internet forum in 2002. Now, it’s used to describe any self-portrait taken with a smartphone. However, humans aren’t the only ones caught up in this habit. A Forbes article in 2022 revealed that a satellite owned by NanoAvionics took a selfie of itself in 4K resolution.
