TIA CARRERE: CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT
After a stint on ABC’s General Hospital, Tia Carrere gradually began to work her way up to becoming a household name. Unfortunately, neither her breakout role nor feature in the hit series A-Team raked in enough earnings to send the actress into early retirement. With no jobs forthcoming and her expenses being unmet, Carrere filed for bankruptcy and had a $50K debt. In 1992, she was cast in Wayne’s World, and things began turning around for the better. We’d say that she’s incredibly lucky that things worked out for her because there are plenty of celebrities who found themselves grounded for good after running into financial issues. We’re certain that with her long career ahead, she’ll pick herself back up in no time.
