Jo Dee Messina – Born 1970
With her debut single “Heads Carolina, Tails California”, Jo Dee Messina set forth on a flourishing career and became the first female country singer to win a multiple-week number one position for her songs from the same album. Having been nominated for several awards and nominations, it was the rough end to her engagement and alcoholism that put a hiatus on her career. Messina managed to get back to music after treatment for alcohol detox, but sadly, even when things in her personal life were going great, she was diagnosed with cancer. We hope her health insurance can cover the cost of her treatments and that she bounces back soon.
