Melissa Gilbert– 1964

In 1992, Melissa Gilbert started doing a recurring role on the show Stand by Your Man and got another recurring role in Batman: The Animated Series the same year. She started doing other roles such as 1994’s Sweet Justice and 1996’s Babylon 5. Gilbert got back to doing more TV movies, also a show Secrets and Lies.

However, what brought great success was the role of Laura Ingalls in the television series Little House in the Prairie. Gilbert got a lot of attention for her amazing acting chops and luminous presence.

She may have faced a lot of hurdles on the way to stardom, but she overcame them with aplomb. Although she is in her fifties now, she still wins over audiences with her charm.
