Bonnie Raitt – Born 1949
Bonnie Raitt gained huge critical success and fame after she was discovered in New York by a Newsweek reporter during a performance. Even though she had no big hits to her name back then, her rendition of “Runaway” made her a household name. Raitt is the recipient of ten Grammys, and in spite of huge critical acclaim, she received commercial success only after the release of her album Nick of Time. Raitt continues making music and has been releasing new albums frequently. She has battled alcohol and drug abuse, but has remained clean since her time in rehab in 1987. Perhaps, it was that and her tryst with nutrition that keeps her fit and healthy with a glowing skin.
