The multinational media conglomerate was founded in the year 2008 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada when Thomson Corporation bought the Reuters Group. The majority of Thomson Reuters is owned by the Thomson family’s holding company, The Woodbridge Company.

It has its headquarters in Bay Adelaide Centre. The key people are David Thomson, who operates as the Chairman, Steve Hasker, the President and CEO., and David W. Binet, the Deputy Chairman. The logo is composed of an emblem, delicate but bright at the same time.

There is a wordmark on the right side. Several solid orange dots of various sizes make an abstract swirl. In the middle of the emblem, you will find a smaller white one that stands for future and development.
