Many people went on to call Joseph Marcell as the real star of the show. Marcell, a British actor, played the butler of the Banks’ household. He was called Geoffrey in the show, a perfect name for a person with a prim and proper demeanor. The fact that he could crack a joke in all kinds of situations without giving away his guise of having an attitude made it even funnier. Even after the show was over, his character from the show followed him wherever he went. However, he had some meaty roles in TV shows like The Bold and the Beautiful and EastEnders. Later, he served on the board of Globe Theater and acted in Shakespeare’s plays, too. He must have acquired quite a fortune from his days as a TV actor, and his bank accounts are probably quite fat. He might as well have some investment money stacked somewhere to be used post his retirement.
